Learning The Sport
* Every child learns at a different rate.
* There are many factors involved that allow children to learn.
* Every child IS different and what is easy for some children may not be easy for others. We
recognize this and allow the child to learn safely at their own pace.
* Please talk to your teacher about your child`s development in this sport and the programs we offer.
            Class Levels of
     Gymnastics & Tumbling

We use a Skill Charts that complies with the USAG Junior Olympic Gymnastics Program.

Basic:
Introductory of fundamentals of body awareness, control and terminology. Starting out in this sport every child must learn the basic fundamentals .
   1. Paying attention to staff.
   2. Skill terminology.
   3. Learning the equipment.
   4. Having fun while learning safe skill progressions.
Beginner: Mastering basic skills can allow safe progression for a solid foundation to advance.
Every child advances at a different rate of speed.
The difference between learning and making a skill, is the difference in moving head in any sport.

Advanced Beginner:
Students must perform proper repetition of all beginner level skills. Proper skill repetition is the key for advancement.
This is the starting point of teaching and training. Your child must be able to complete skills with little margin of error. Not just once, but over & over again.
Intermediate: Children will train skill drills in repetition. Training skills over & over again will allow your child to gain strength to weight ratio and perform more advanced skills safely.

Please remember and understand that children must be able to perform skills correctly over and over again. Not just one time. There is a difference in learning a skill and doing a skill once.
The proper way to perform skills will lead to more advanced skills. If a child does NOT perform skills properly, injuries can occur. And, your child will NOT be able to perform advanced skills.

Please feel free to ask your teacher about the advancement of your child, and talk to a USAG Safety Certified Jr. Olympic Coach.
