GYMNASTICS
Gymnastics class:
Your child will be introduced to all four Olympic events: Vaulting horse (vault) , Uneven Bars (bars), Balance Beam (beam), and Floor exercises (floor).
These classes are designed to develop your child`s motor skills while learning the art of gymnastics.
We will teach skill progressions that comply with the USAG Junior Olympic compulsory and optional program.
Strength to weight ratio and your child`s thought process play a factor in the development of any sport.
Please remember and understand that children must be able to perform skills correctly over and over again. Not just one time. There is a difference in learning a skill and doing a skill once.
The proper way to perform skills will lead to more advanced skills. If a child does NOT perform skills properly, injuries can occur. And, your child will NOT be able to perform advanced skills.
Please feel free to ask your teacher about the advancement of your child, and talk to a USAG Safety Certified Jr. Olympic Coach.
